Join With Me In Saying It...Refreshing

I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I'm bored. I'm plain.

Yeah, so I've felt that way before but it's passed...easily and quickly. For some reason now, it's staying. I FEEL like being bold and aggressive. I FEEL like telling my boss I want to take a hike. I FEEL like starting over from scratch. But everything I feel like doing isn't anything I'd ever do at all.

What I want to say is let me be. If I only had 30 extra minutes of sleep every morning. Feeling refreshed is so understated. Now I'll make it a personal mission to use that word once each day for the rest of the week.

Ok...so I that (the title of today's post) was part of a cheer back in the day when I was a cheerleader for the Iaeger Intermediate School Eagles! GOSH...that was so long ago! I can't believe I still remember that cheer! It went like this...

Yeah, I know, little corny but I'm marveling at the realization that I can actually REMEMBER it! That was 1987...88 maybe? Geez, I'm getting old!

Shifting gears and moving onward now. So, guess what's happening over at 4 Scrappy Sisters next weekend? Huh...do know? I'll give you a hint.

- Stock up on glue dots
- Make sure you have lots of cardstock
- and whatever you do, don't forget your Thickers because....(insert DRUMROLL!!!)

There's just never enough hours in the day to do all the things I feel I need to do. Maintaining a fun, entertaining and somewhat productive blog is just one of them. So, while I'm finding my rhythm (or at least trying to fit it into my Top 10 list), humor me and continue to check in...deal? :)

Makin' some noise...

I'm SOOOO excited!!! This morning I found out I was chosen as a designer for 4 Scrappy Sisters kit club!!! I wasn't getting my hopes up and I honestly didn't think I'd make the cut but I did and I'm SO happy! THANK YOU again, Lisa! I hope I make you proud!!! :)

I'm deeply and thrilled to be given the opportunity to work the ladies there! The next 6 months is going to be AWESOME! Oh! And be sure to keep checking in at the site, Lisa announced today there will be a nice change coming soon! :)

Some new pretties...

Ok, so I applied for a DT spot with Serendipity Scrapbooks (as if anyone needed a reminder! LOL!). I'm nervous about the announcement but excited for whomever is chosen regardless of whether or not I'm one of them. I know that everything happens for a reason and if it's not meant to be, then it's just not meant to be...right?...although I'd like it to be meant to be! LOL!!! :) At any rate, I know it's a great place to be a part of and I'm sure I'll continue posting in the forums even if I'm not chosen. There's alot of challenges, awesome techniques, great inspiration, daily chatter and a VERY NICE bunch of ladies...so it's a great place just to hang out and I wish I'd found it sooner!

And speaking of Serendipity Scrapbooks, I'm taking part in a blogging challenge right now and this week I have to write about how I feel about the summer coming to an end soon. I have nothing to hide...I'm ready for school to start again. Jaritt will be in 2nd grade while Jansyn will be starting kindergarten (God bless the teacher that gets her in their classroom!). Jaritt excels in school and Jansyn...well, she just needs the structure. But, I'm drifting away...I'm happy that summer will be ending soon because it means that FALL is right around the corner! I *heart* fall weather! We had a great summer but living in NC, it gets REALLY hot and REALLY humid, so fall is always a welcomed season in my book. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the summer.

So Jaxson's 1st birthday was last month but due to us being out of town and then returning right before July 4th, we had his birthday party this weekend past. He was curious about his "smash" cake but after Grandma fed him a couple of bites, he was excited to feed himself! He was SUCH a mess!!! I wish I could've gotten some better shots buy my mount flash has a problem that I haven't been able to figure out just yet so I have settle until then. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Little Man! :)

I'm LONG overdue for sharing some of my recent LOs...sorry! I PROMISE I'll be better about this in the future! :) I've just been so INCREDIBLY busy lately preparing for our vacation, then our family reunion at July 4th but now it's ALL OVER and I can get back to cutting paper and sewing trims. :)

July 4th was GREAT!

We had a great 4th of July! Every year at July 4th my mom's family has a family reunion...someplace. This year, my aunt Linda (my mom's twin sister) decided to play hostess. We also always throw a birthday party for my mom & aunt Linda as their birthday falls on July 8th. So, considering the whole family is already getting together, what better time than to wish them a happy birthday than at the reunion, right? Well, this year, they celebrated their 60th birthday. Let me tell you these ladies DO NOT seem 60. They don't look like it, they don't sound like it and they surely don't act like it! They're both such a hoot! I can't wait to scrap these pics!

New Stuff!

I have just a few minutes before I *MUST* get some much needed beauty rest so I thought I'd share pics of some recent things I made for DD.

In case all my scrappy friends haven't heard about this already, Scrapperie is having an Ice Cream Social (AKA CROP!) this weekend, June 27th, 28th & 29th! And YOU'RE ALL INVITED! I've only been visiting the boards there in the past week or so but they're all a nice, great bunch of girls and I'm sure they have a TON of fun planned!

I'm Such a Techno Junkie

Today a Willow asked if she should chose a DSLR, a laptop or a camcorder for her upcoming 15th anniversary. My initial reaction was easy...the laptop! I live, eat, breath and dream my laptop. It's like an extra leg or hand or something. It's one of the last things I look at before I go to bed and it's one of the first things I look at in the morning. But then I started thinking about my camera? Do I love it any less? No, I just rely on my laptop a bit more. It's job is to function when I *need* it to...not when I want it to. I suppose that makes a difference in the ladder of favoritism. :)

Ok, ok...so I admit it. I have serious issues. I'm in love with electronics. How sad is that? I happened to ponder about how I'd feel if someone took my beloved camera, my laptop, my iPod. I'd curl up in the fetal position and assume no responsibility for my actions. I'm hopelessly devoted to all things "e".

Guess I know why my husband loves me so much? :)

ALWAYS turn on your porch light!!!

Quick post...

Just a friendly reminder to ALWAYS turn on your porch light after dark! This is what I found the other night when I took my dog outside...the only problem is that I didn't turn the light on when I first stepped outside. It was only after "it" started hissing at me and, obviously, got my attention that I realized I wasn't alone on the porch.



And just in case you can't tell what it is...it's a SNAKE slithering up my front porch window! Of course, I took the pic after I *RAN* back inside. Isn't it gross??? And why didn't my dumb dog alert me? Crazy mutt chose to empty his bowels instead of saving me from an angry snake!
